Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my achievement count different from Steam?

Steam counts every achievement you've ever earned, including those from games that have since been deleted or delisted from the store. We can only access data from games currently in your library, so the counts may differ. While we preserve your achievement history going forward, there's no way to backdate achievements from before you first synced with our site.

Why do all my games appear as having no played time?

This is caused by having your total playtime hours hidden in your Steam privacy settings. We can only track playtime if it's publicly visible. To fix this, go to your Steam profile privacy settings and ensure "Game details" is set to public.

Why does a game not appear on cheeves.info?

Games only appear on cheeves.info after they've been seen in a user's profile. If nobody who owns the game has synced their profile yet, the game won't be listed. Once any user with the game in their library syncs, it will become available on the site.

Why can I only sync my profile once a day?

Syncing your profile requires many API requests to Steam's servers. To prevent rate-limiting and keep the service running smoothly for everyone, we queue synchronizations with a cooldown period. Without this limit, the queue would become overloaded and syncs would take much longer for all users. Pro subscribers enjoy a reduced cooldown of just 10 minutes.

Why do some games not have achievement guides?

Achievement guides are curated by humans, and we prioritize adding them for the most popular games. Some titles may slip under the radar or simply haven't been covered yet. If you'd like to see guides for a specific game, please submit a request using the form below and we'll do our best to add it.

Can anyone see my profile?

By default, your cheeves.info profile is publicly visible. However, your profile only appears on the site after you've synced it at least once, and only the owner of a Steam account can initiate a sync. If you prefer privacy, you can set your profile visibility to hidden in your user settings.

How is the estimated time to beat a game calculated?

Estimated completion times are sourced from How Long to Beat, specifically their completionist times. This data is aggregated from player submissions and may not reflect the exact time required for your playthrough, as individual skill levels and playstyles vary.
